FOR LORELEI CALLBACKS
This is a schedule for the Lorelei callbacks casting.
About the movie
LORELEI is a feature film shooting Fall of 2018 in Oregon.
Our movie follows ex-biker Wayland as he returns to his High School hometown after 15 years in prison. As the story unfolds he rekindles a relationship with his teenage sweetheart Dolores, now a mother of three, each with different fathers, and must navigate the weight of his past with his inadvertent role in a newfound family.
We are looking in the Pacific Northwest to find kids to play the children of the lead actress, each important supporting roles in the film itself.
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW BEFORE YOU SCHEDULE AN AUDITION (Link to Calendar Below)
AUDITION SIDES (Please plan on auditioning with BOTH callbacks sides in addition to the original sides)
KURT: Casual, rough around the edges, perhaps a leather jacket.
DENIM: Attire that appears to be hand-me-downs from an “older sister.”
Examples: a dress, a pink t-shirt with flowers/hearts on it, colorful barrettes, plastic tiara.
PERI: Attire that appears disheveled and could be from second-hand store/yard sale.
Examples: tangled hair, chipped nail polish, cheap bangles/hair scrunchies, denim shorts/overall shorts, a discount store t-shirt.
DODGER: Attire that appears second-hand and could be considered “chore clothes.”
Examples: unshaved upper lip, camo pants/baggy shorts, tatty wife beater, sliders and socks.
PASTOR GAIL: Casual Pacific NW attire with a rural edge
BOBBI: Biker gear or ripped up t-shirt and jeans or leather jacket
ORTIZ/LANE: Casual button down office worker.
GORDIE: Outdoor work outfit, think mechanic
VIOLET&KITTY: Leopard print, leather jacket – but for around-the-house wearing, not out-on-the-town style.
MANAGER: casual work attire, no logos.
Please avoid white shirts if possible.
KURT: President of a small motorcycle club, the Night Horsemen MC; makes a modest living dealing prescription drugs and meth; father of two; tougher on the outside than he is on the inside; a complex mix of kindness and menace; longs for the good old days when crime paid; enjoys good banter and camaraderie, and feels most free when he’s riding his bike. Kurt loves Wayland like a brother, even more so for Wayland’s loyalty to the MC – he’d like Wayland to come back to the club, but he’s willing to let him move on if he needs to.
DODGER: The eldest child in a single parent family, Dodger has been a de facto father figure for his siblings, and is especially protective of the youngest, Denim; he has a fractious relationship with his Mom’s new boyfriend, Wayland; stays in shape and hopes to enlist in the military; like all teenage boys, he experiments with what it means to be a man, vaping and displaying false bravado.
PERI: Spicy, outspoken tween; she can be a tomboy or fairly girly, depending on the circumstances… her tastes are still being formed; has a fraught relationship with her Mom, Dolores, who’s trying to mold her in her image, but whose path she doesn’t want to follow; isn’t scared to challenge authority but has a hidden vulnerability and deep down longs for parental love; and while she may act grown-up sometimes, she’s still just a child.
DENIM: Creative, sensitive, sweet-natured and gentle; prefers dresses to pants and loves things most people would consider ‘girly’; much happier playing with dolls than toy trucks; has a fierce fight with his Mom when she tries to make him wear pants; forges a quick and genuine bond with his Mom’s new boyfriend, Wayland, and forces him to confront whether he’s ready to be a father.

We’re trying out a new scheduling system. It may be a little difficult to pick a time slot on your phone – if you can’t zoom in and click on an open time slot, please call your agent and ask them to schedule a time for you.
- GOOGLE ACCOUNT: We’re using Google Calendar to schedule these appointments. If you have a Google Account, you’ll be emailed a confirmation email at whatever address you used to sign up for Google. Sometimes it’s a weird old email address that you forgot that you had, so please double check that you don’t have a Google Account signed up to your high school email address.
- TIME ZONE: After you select a time, please confirm that your audition appointment is set for PACIFIC STANDARD TIME. Sometimes your calendar is set to a different time zone, and it will send you to us at, say, 8pm. We are closed at 8pm. Please don’t show up after 6pm, because you’ll have missed all of the auditions. You can check your time zone for your calendars HERE
