“FIRST COW”

simon max hill casting

Thanks for interest in these projects! We’re casting a movie that needs PNW Native, Chinook and Hawaiian performers to play both speaking roles and nonspeaking (extra) roles. The movie is titled “First Cow” and is set in 1820s PNW. It has a number of roles portraying Chinook traders as well as two Hawaiian elders.

This project is union, on a SAG-AFTRA contract, and as such pays Union wages.

FIRST COW SYNOPSIS

Cookie Figowitz is the hired cook for a group of rough men on a fur trapping expedition in the 1820s Oregon Territory. One night in the woods he meets King-Lu, a mysterious man fleeing from some vengeful Russians. This is the story of their burgeoning friendship in the ever-changing Northwest landscape–and a get-rich-quick scheme involving the first cow in the territory.
